An eclectic musical career, Rupesh has traveled extensively in the US, Japan, Latin-America and India, recording with Upanishad, recognized for their performance at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Deuter from Germany, and in 1994 releasing his debut album Laughing Drums (Bauer) followed by Living Drums (Bauer) in 1997. In recent years he is based in Mexico, and travels to play around the world, Costa Rica, Japan, Italy, Spain and Portugal. In Autumn 2009 he is diagnosed lymphoma, which he tried to cure with alternative and allophatic medicine. with temporary success. In August 2010, when he regained his strength for a while, he did another tour to Denmark, Japan and Portugal, and recorded a new CD with Deva Sofia and Harida in our studio. His journey took him onwards to India, where he felt very sick again, and back home to Mexico in November. The cancer has spread to his brain, and his strength is now fading, he spending his last days in a beautiful care home in Queretaro near his family.
Rupesh left his body on the 30th of January 2011, peacefully accompanied by his family.
